A blanket still in Progress

I have to say I'm so very happy the sun has shine here in our corner of the world for a couple of days.
While it was not enough (I have to confess there is never enough sun for me ... I just love the sun) it was just a great little charge of energy to motivate me to work harder on the birthday blanket.

I have been so very busy I haven't even had the time, some days, to crochet or knit.

Building a house, working full time and of course finding time to spend with my family has made it challenging for me with only 24 hours in one day. Wouldn't be great to have a few extra hours (or maybe the need need to sleep less) so we could accomplish all those little projects we want to do ???
Don't get me wrong I'm very grateful for all that I have and all the time I spend with everyone in my life and I know someday I will have a lot more time and will catch up with all these projects I have to put aside now.
I have been working fast and furious on the Birthday Blanket and I have almost 4 rows completed now. I am very happy with the result, even thought I'm just about half way now. I'm even happier because I have been able to challenge myself to try the random style and not really plan the colors in a certain patten and I think I'm succeeding at it. You have no idea how hard it's for me ...I want to have a pattern so very hard... but I'm going to stick to my plan and see where it will take me ... so far I am very happy with my decision. :)
Take a look and see what you think ...

Right now I am just happy I have gotten a little bit of time today to stop by to "see" all of you and to crochet for a little bit ... I have to confess that for now until I finish this birthday blanket Sweater Sunday will temporarily (and maybe forever ??? ) be changed to Blanket Sunday... :)

Thanks for stopping by and for all your kind, warm comments.

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday and that you have a wonderful week.

  2. It looks like a beauty! I know what you mean about letting go and not relying too much on a pattern. I have the same problem. Your blanket is looking great.

  3. The blanket is coming along so well and I love the photo of all the balls of yarn in their basket. I feel like I struggle to craft anything lately, there just aren't enough hours in the day. x

  9. Your flower blanket is going to be gorgeous! And I really love your washcloth and soap bundle from your last entry. It makes such a pretty homemade gift! I had the urge to crochet some potholders this morning which happens every now and then. That's what I've been doing. Enjoy your sunshine!

  13. Hi Taciana, thanks so much for coming to my blog. I hope you come back often --and I'll return to you. We are traveling a lot these days --so blogging takes a back seat to that. BUT-I love blogging and try to keep up when I have time..

You are one very creative lady.. Love all of the colors you are using in the blanket. It will be gorgeous...

Good Luck on the new home --and working full-time. I am retired but still can stay EXTREMELY busy....

    Thanks again for visiting.
    Hugs,
    Betsy
