Now... I have learned something new and I put the pattern for you on a different page. So... to see the pattern just click on the Free Pattern option on the Menu bar on the top banner of my blog ... and you will have it.

My daughter found a fabric version of these bows on Pinterest. She just love them, but I immediately thought... I can crochet and knit them...instead of just sewing them (I'm going to try the sewing version this weekend).

and so I did...I sat down and before I knew... voila... it was done... and I think I'm going to make many more...

she wants it in all colors ... They are so much fun and you can have one done in no time :)

A little Crochet Fun

The other day I was trying to figure out something fun to make to my friends to give as a little Valentines gift. It is Valentines month after all.
My friend Natalie ( who helps me a lot with ideas, colors and just listening to my crazy endeavors) said she saw a really cute idea for a single needle holder in a book.
Well, after a couple of changes ( you know me by now .. I very rarely follow a pattern completely:) ... Here we are...

These cute little crochet needle holders were born...

Color does makes me HAPPY

I have always loved color...

Bright, light, shiny, sunny colors...

They remind me of my country (for those of you new here I'm from Brazil...the land of sun and colors).

Colors remind me of happiness, of enthusiasm, of energy ...

and that is how I feel when I see lots of colors together.

I think it's important to put the right colors together, but even when you are not sure... colors have a way to live in harmony.

I have made one of this colorful bottle cozies before...

But I loved it so much I had to make another one exactly like it. 

 I think it has been so cold here all I think about it is cozies...

So here we are ... another one just like it ...

and I love it ... love all the colors on these grey, cold winter days ...

Bright ... beautiful ...colors

Really, super easy to make ...

And very rewarding...I'll be writing a tutorial for you soon so you can make one and test for yourself.

Colors ... colors ... they do make me happy.

I'll be writing a pattern/ tutorial for you here once a month. I'll release it  on the last friday of every month.

Love is in the Air

January is gone and Valentines is almost here...

Some like to celebrate more than others, but one thing is for sure ...

Love is in the air...

I have to say I don't need a very big excuse to celebrate...I love holidays... but February is one of my favorite months...after all it's my birthday also...

and what a fun way to celebrate but with hearts...

I have many friends who have birthdays in February... and I love to celebrate their birthdays. And I have to admit although I love to receive gifts I think I might like giving gifts even more ... This one was a gift for one of my friends...Gracie from One Saylors Log... and I think I'm making a few more...

It's super easy to make as I just measured the cup, single crochet it with the linen stitch and added one of Lucy's tiny hearts to look like a little tea bag.

I had so much fun making it... I love small projects that gives you that instant gratification of starting and finishing it in one sitting...

Hope you are having a super weekend and having fun ...

and remember this month to "shower the people you love with LOVE..."

I would like to thank all of my friends and my family for all the birthday gifts and wishes ... you make me feel special and overwhelmingly blessed.

Over the Rainbow...Ripple Blanket

l started this Ripple blanket last year and it feels like its taking fooooooorrrrrrwwwwwvvvvveeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to finish it..

I worked on it for a while...and have made some progress

from here in June of last year ...

to here now ...

   I have to admit I have been neglecting it for a while and had forgotten about my dream of having it wrapped around myself while watching the birds outside...

This last Saturday it was sunny and pretty outside here and it inspired me to start on my  "rainbow" again so when Spring comes I am ready for those, still cold, but crispy mornings ... with a "rainbow" (blanket) over me . 

I think I just have to keep carrying my basket /bag up and down... drinking tea and rippling day after day ...till Spring comes ... to see if I can get it done and enjoy the feeling of having one more project done and on with another one...

... with a rainbow over me ...
