We didn't go camping very much this year...
To tell you the truth we didn't do very much this summer with all the hustle and bustle of selling our house...
This past weekend we decided, at the spur of the moment, to go camping with the kids and I have to say we had such a great time .
We went to the Cove Palisades in Central Oregon and the weather was just perfect... (with the exception of a very scary storm while we were passing the most dangerous part of the trip on our way back... it was really scary).
We had sooooo much fun... it was a great weekend and we spent lots of family time together.
And while my family and our friends went fishing ...
I took some time ...
for crocheting my new project ...
The baby blanket I started about 2 months ago (but had to stop to do the wedding blanket)
I had 2 days to crochet a bit and I have made quiet a lot of progress .
I'll have all the details on my next post... for now I'm just making squares and hoping to finish before the baby shower in a couple of weeks...
Boy I have a way to put myself right there with all these deadlines... after I finish this one I'll try to do something that does not have a date to be finished... but I knew it was going to happen... we have lots of friends having babies this year :)
We had a wonderful tome together and lots of good memories to last a lifetime...
The weather turned on us on our way back ...but we didnt let it stop us...
We did have fun:)
Hope you all are having a wonderful week and thanks so much for stopping by to "see" me , I love to hear from you.
It looks like you had so much fun Taci! I just LOVE your dog. So happy and friendly and loves to be petted. We've never been to the campsite you were at. Does it take long to get to from Portland? The weather has seemed to change the past few days and I feel fall in the air.
ReplyDeleteYour blanket is looking very nice. What is it about deadlines? I do the same thing and then get very stressed trying to meet them. :-)
Have a wonderful weekend my friend.
Blessings,
Betsy
Hi Taci - lovely post - so nice to get out there and just relax, although I'm sorry to hear about the nasty storm! Lovely family pics and happy memories to look back on!
ReplyDeleteYour squares are looking so lovely and I can imagine this will be another stunning blanket when finished!
Happy weekend to you!

Hi Taci.. it looks like you and your family and friends had a great time! Did the guys catch any fish? It's fun to crochet while sitting around a campfire. Say, did you know when you're putting up photos, if you click on them a window comes up and you can make the photo "Extra Large" so we can see them better? I'm looking forward to seeing you soon! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting away and having some special time with your family and friends. Nothing like camping, and the smell of a campfire to help you relax.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Meredith
