Making progress on the blanket...
Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July celebration.
I have the day off today and a long weekend so I'm trying to get as much done as possible for my niece's blanket...
I think I'm doing pretty well and hope to make pretty good progress so I don't have to be stressed when it gets closer to the wedding.
I'm really enjoying making this blanket, but I have to say that I have been having a little bit of withdraws... it's much harder to me to stick to one project than I thought...
However, I think it's all worth it and that my niece certainly deserves it...so I have to keep my eyes closed to anything new and any other project I would want to work on right now. . . and just crochet on.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and as always thank you so much for taking the time to stop by to "see" me ... I just love it!!!
Hello Taci
ReplyDeleteI see you have done loads already and I do like the colours. I like yourself find it difficult too to concentrate on one large project. I love doing lots of different things at once. You have more patience than me.
keep well
Amanda :-)
Hi Taci! Wow, you are really making a lot of squares, I can't wait to see how you put them together! Enjoy your long weekend and I hope to see you soon! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteTaci, this is going to be one pretty blanket!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up.
Hugs, Shari
You are making great progress, Taci! I am glad you have the weekend off and hope you are able to have some time for relaxing stitching :-)

Oooh look at all of the squares. It is going to be beautiful-just like you. Have a lovely weekend my friend.

Betsy
Great colours, they are going to look lovely all together, I do so love blankets (maybe not the ends) and imagining the love that goes into making them. I choose crochet for speed too, although, like you, like to be doing more than one thing at once...I seem to have done more knitting than crochet recently, but it's always nice topick some crochet up and mindlessly whizz along.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
Well done on sticking to one project - a gorgeous one at that :) The squares are looking great and would look marvelous all stitched up together ... Time to think about joining and border yet or another week is there ?? ha ha.. Love to you.

Wow. It is coming on well. I, too, have a job sticking to one thing but I am determined to finish this waistcoat before getting back to my crochet. I, particularly, find knitting hard to pick up again when I leave it. The patterns always seem hard to get back in to! As a friend often says to me....keep on keeping on! You'll soon be back to the other things you have in the pipeline! Joan
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about trying not to get side-tracked with other projects when working on a deadline project. This blanket is going to be so pretty and she will love it!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had time to work on anything lately ... big or small. Your niece will love the blanket and I'm sure you will finish it in no time. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteOooh, this blanket is going to be beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's coming along really well! The colours are so nice together. Hang in there, you can do it! x
ReplyDeleteI really love all the colors
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about sticking to one project. I always have atleast three going at once. The colors you chose are wonderful as always.
